Oak Contemporary LLC was founded in 2024 by Julie Miller, a former Fashion/Outerwear Designer with a passion for great design and supporting local artists.

After curating collections for several large department stores, the idea of Oak Contemporary started to take form. A department store to champion local American designers, makers, and artists. 

From humble beginnings, Julie took a leap off the deep-end after talking about creating Oak for 'too many times' and being told 'just do it, or it won't happen'.
