Tartan Bowl

By Games of Colors · Made in Woodinville, Washington
A little color, a little movement, and a whole lot of personality. This sculptural catchall transforms a familiar woven pattern into an unexpected three-dimensional object, with fine intersecting lines of orange, blue, yellow, green, and red moving across its surface.
The gently rippled form gives the piece an almost textile-like softness—as though a piece of plaid fabric has been caught mid-drape and made permanent. Set it on a coffee table, dresser, or entryway console as a colorful landing place for small treasures, or simply let it stand on its own as an object of art.

WHY WE LOVE IT
It's the illusion that gets us. What looks almost like a piece of loosely woven fabric is actually a dimensional object, blurring the line between textile, sculpture, and functional design. The joyful color makes it impossible to ignore, while the irregular form ensures no angle looks quite the same.

Functional art with a sense of humor—and exactly the kind of unexpected object we love finding for Oak.
